Invocation of Eurynomous

.This ritual was written using Enochian script, my own magickal chants, and channeled magickal phrases, some of which channeled phrases have been written such that they may be most easily sounded out. I broke a few of the words of power in the channeled chants down to their syllables, capitalizing syllables which equate to English words. Translations of the Latin and Enochian appear in brackets. The witch may incorporate however much or however little equipment & materials she deems appropriate into her performance of this ritual.

Magickal Hymn to the Infernal Divine

Magickal hymns can be used as spiritual exercises in and of themselves, being recited for either guidance or self-empowerment, or they can be incorporated into rituals. This hymn calls out to some of the most prominent among the Infernal Divine.

First, the term Drakosophia is a moniker for the black magickal current which underlies all paradigms of LHP demon magick– from Traditional Demonolatry to Luciferian Atheism. It’s inspired by the term Theosophia, being the concept of a single undercurrent beneath all religion. This is not dualism– I am certain that Drakosophia is just the aspect of Theosophia that we of the Black Lodge work with together, whether we know it or not.

72 Spirits of the Goetia are entreated. The 72 once appeared to my mentor as a single dragon, and “Goetikon” is one of the invented magickal names I have consecrated for reference to this entity.

Thereafter, the 11 Gods of the Qliphoth, known as Chavajoth/Havayoth and the Azerate or Hendekatheon is entreated.

Thereafter, the Nine Demonic Divinities adulated by most Traditional Demonolaters, which group of nine is derived from the Dukante Hierarchy of Demonology, is named and entreated one by one. The nine are as follows: Verraine/Verrine, Amducious, Lucifer/Lumial, Eurynomous, Flereous/Haures, Ustrina, Leviathan, Unsere, Beliar/Belias (normally Belial), and Satanas/Sathanel (normally Satanas).

The Qliphoth or Kliffoth as a whole is entreated, and lastly, the 22 Ruling Archdemons of the “Tunnels of Set,” being the pathways between the ten spheres of the Qliphoth, are entreated. I needed a catch-all moniker for the lot of them, so I came up with Kelippadaimones. It’s nowhere near etymologically sound, but it serves its purposes.
The hymn consists of 11 stanzas, it calls unto very many of the most prominent entities venerated in demon magick, so not only can it be used in many different ways, its use develops a rapport with the Infernal Divine. That is to say, using it in magick is a convenient and useful way for the witch to strengthen her connection to the entities entreated.

Eurynomous is one of the nine primary divinities of modern Demonolatry– a god of death magick and necromancy. The Way of Ahriman attributes him to “chaos, lust, and vengeance.” He is held to be a representation of death, physical as well as the kind of death comparable to cyclical skin-shedding of a serpent– Eurynomous personifies the death of unwanted attachments, emotions, grudges, phobias– you get the idea.

Euronymous works to further the agendas of both the lords of the Qliphoth and the presiding divinities of Hellenistic netherworld, presiding over demonic and daemonic legions alike. Second only to Satan, Hades is the entity to whom Eurynomus adheres the most, and yet he is strongly linked with Hecate as well. His lover, the Qliphothic spirit Gargophias, is the single closest spirit to Hecate.

Eurynomous is the tendency of all things to decay, and thus, the tendency of all things to rebirth. According to Jennifer Thorp, he personifies every manner of change. He presides over the renewal of life and the incitement of new beginnings. He is, by nature, a god of rebirth, and his auspices are wonderfully useful in rituals of personal transformation.

Eurynomous is a black magickal teacher and initiator. He calls himself “That Which Hunts the Hunters” and he is known as “the Fire of the Earth.” He’s a protector, a shaman, a midwife, and an avenger. He’s the sempiternal protector of children as well as the slaugherous destroyer who roots out all who stand in opposition to Hecate.

Euronymous is described as a “demon of savage aspect.” His auspices are apt for lethal and non-lethal rituals of destruction alike, and he can engender a satisfactory and often a rapid manifestation of any malediction that his powers were solicited to support. Euronymous begets eradication with brutality and he is capable of visiting his wrathful justice on any plane of existence. In addition to this, he can entirely redirect a curse which has been placed upon someone, inflicting the entirety of the malediction upon whoever is specified by the witch.

Eurynomos can help the witch make friends and make money. He can assist the sorcerer in getting away with crime and framing an innocent man for murder. Some black magickians identify Eurynomos with the Greek divinity Eurynome, but having Eurynomos for the first time this morning, I am personally unable to opine with confidence.

Eurynomous can be of great assistance in matters concerning crystal balls, tarot cards, and divinatory runes. He can alter the personality of the sorcerer by inciting the dissolution of the ego as well as the increasement of courage and leadership skills. The demon can be called upon for spells of cleansing by water.

According to S. Conolly, Eurynomous typifies spiritual consciousness, rather than physical or mental consciousness. She writes that the alchemy of Eurynomous typifies “the splendor of transformation from the actual physical consciousness to the spiritual physical consciousness.”

Hellenistic mythology presented Eurynomus as a spirit of the Greek netherworld who devours corpses until nothing is left but bones. While such a depiction could easily lead one to proclaim him a ghoul, Eurynomus has made it clear that he is no such thing.

A fellow adherent to the Craft described his process of preparation for a rite to Euronymous in private correspondence: “When I work with Him, I prefer to be in a state of ritual impurity. In other words, I do not take a ritual bath, or do anything to purify myself, or my working space. It is not simply disregarding these things; it is intentionally NOT doing them, as an act of devotion to Him. Purification by impurification, if you will. This is a very LHP concept. I don’t drink, smoke, or take drugs, but if I did, I would do these things, as part of my corruption of self, before working with Him. Instead, I eat junk food, and watch trashy TV shows, and satisfy myself, sexually, before approaching Him.”

In the grimoire entitled Queen of Hell, Mark Allan Smith writes of Eurynomus as follows: “Work with Eurynomous can at first leave you feeling tired as His vast energy pushes the physical form from within, coursing through the flesh as though it was expanding from the inside. This roaring fury is the current of immense power that flows from this Dark God dnd though He is far from a passive being, Eurynomous is a close ally and powerful teacher to those on the path of the Dark Goddess.”

While the planetary affiliations of Eurynomos consist of Mars, Neptune, and Saturn, he is attributed to the Qliphothic spheres related to Uranus, Jupiter, the Black Sun, and the Black Moon. You will find that it is astoundingly common for an entity’s planetary affiliations to have no bearing on its Qliphothic affiliations. After all, these two systems of affiliations are based separate schemas of the universe.

Saturn and Mars are known as the Greater and Lesser Malefic, and Neptune hearkens to King Poseidon of Atlantis and the Penultimate Husk of the Qliphoth. While his Qliphothic attributions fail to have a single planet in common with his planetary imputations, they exhibit a pattern of a variety remarkably similar to the pair of “Malefic” planets. For one, he is attributed to the spheres of the Black Moon and the Black Sun– the two spheres below Thaumiel and Da’ath on the Qliphoth’s central column. His other Qliphothic affiliations are to the spheres of Uranus and Jupiter– the highest and second-highest spheres of the left column of the Qliphoth.

If we were to ignore the reality that Qliphothic and planetary attributions appear to be apples and oranges, we could take a diagram of the Qliphoth and mark all of the spheres to which Euronymous is imputed and mark the Qliphothic spheres attributed to the planets which relate to him outside of Qabalah. While Uranus and Jupiter are the highest and second-highest spheres of the left column, Saturn and Mars are the highest and second-highest spheres of the right column. The Black Sun and Black Moon fall beneath Thaumiel in a line, and we are left with Eurynomos’s attribution to Neptune.

The sphere of Thaumiel has a primary ruler, namely Satan, as well as a secondary ruler known as Moloch. In addition to this, Thaumiel has both a dominant planetary attribution (Pluto) and a lesser planetary attribution to Neptune.

Think back to the diagram we’ve been coloring. We would have marked the lower region of Thaumiel as well as all six of the Qliphothic spheres which emanate directly below it. In this, Euronymous would appear to be the perfect personification of the nuanced Qliphothic-Demonian Force which emanates forth from the Devil.

And this makes perfect sense if the nature of the Qliphoth is understood. The Nightside is known as the Tree of Death yet composed of so-called husks– a term which the Black Lodge has come to interpret as referring to wombs. Eurynomous is the personification of death which personifies death so completely that it brings about life. The Qliphoth, known as the Tree of Death, is a construct of acausal wombs.

It would appear, then, that Eurynomous is a perfect representation not only of death itself, but a near-optimal personification of the Qliphothic construct as well. Just as he is a harbinger of life and death in optimal harmony, he can be attributed to six and a half of the Qliphothic wombs, rendering him an a infernality of deeply nuanced character. When the Qliphothic and planetary attributions are numerated, we find him to relate to seven planetary manifestations in total, and seven is the number of a cycle. Eurynomous represents the conclusion of a process which re-engenders the process indefinitely.

The original delineation of the appearance of Eurynomos was conveyed to the world by the artwork of Polygnotos, which artwork Pausanias delineates as follows, explaining that Eurynomos “is of a colour between blue and black, like that of meat flies; he is showing his teeth and is seated, and under him is spread a vulture’s skin.”

My anonymous correspondent discussed Eurynomus’s appearance as follows: “He is said to appear as a humanoid, but with blue-black skin, and wearing a leopard skin. I’ve never seen Him in that form. When He appears to me, He comes as a short humanoid, whose entire head is a writhing mass of maggots, and with onyx eyes.”

According to Vincent Piazza, one of my fellow black magickians in the WordPress community, Euronymous manifested to him as “as a pale man with a wide smile wearing  tattered Linen Clothing. He had a book chained to his left hand.Very Happy and filled with joy, glee, and mischief; the frist time I called him he donned a Top Hat within five minutes of talking with me  (this was some time before my own work with said headgear, so it could have been a precursor of things to come).”

According to Chthonic Paganism and the Left Hand Path, Euronymous is “commonly depicted with blue-black skin and wearing a cloak made of vulture-hide.”

According to Queen of Hell, Eurynomos “manifests during possession work as a huge bald muscular male being with an aggressive booming voice, short horns which are swept back over from the top of His forehead and purple shining eyes.”

I am familiar only with three sigils for Eurynomous, two of which originate from Queen of Hell.
