After I wrote and consecrated a magickal hymn to the Trident of Draconian Magick and the Atlantean Current, which Trident consists of Lucifer, Belial, and Hecate. A friend channeled instructions for two additional magickal hymns for the praxis of Primal Craft. This hymn calls to the four demonic princes: Lucifer (also Lucifero or Lumial), Belial/Belias, Uriens, and Hasmodey/Asmodeus. Specific instructions were delineated to him by Hecate and thereupon relayed to yours truly. I have followed the instructions to the letter. Triodathannis is the magickal name that I wrote and consecrated for the Trident– it’s a singular proper noun which refers to Belial, Hecate, and Lucifer as a group. It is magickally charged and somewhat powerful.

Just as every pathway between the Qliphothic spheres has its own governing archdemon, there is an order or species of demon attributed to each of the Tunnels of Set. When these “Qliphothic armies” are summoned, a handful of similar-looking spirits will manifest. The 218 Current has adopted and promoted the practice of conjuring these armies as singular entities known as metagods (possibly metaspirits in this case), the intent of the celebrant will likely determine the result. This article will list the names of the “Qliphothic armies” along with their magickal specialties and unique channeled “enns” or summoning chants provided for each. The article will not be listing which army corresponds to which tunnel, or what the esoteric correspondences (tarot, zodiac, etc.) for these armies are, however, the list of sources at the article’s end will label which sources provide that information. I had produced and consecrated original sigils for each species (two for Abiriron by accident)– they’re simple and poorly drawn, but so were the sigils in Naos and nobody gave a fuck. They work.
In addition to the channeled summoning chants, I have a few other words of power and chants that are useful in evoking a Qliphothic army:
(i) The magickal formula “Kohot Ha-Qliphoth, Beni Sitra Ahra, Aeonifer, ____________, Artorzozam” can be used to summon any Qliphothic army. The first two phrases translate to “Force of the Qliphoth, Children of the Other Side.” A name of the Qliphothic army is to be placed in the blank
(ii) My invented magickal names Aeonifer, Khaosophoros, Semolshedim, Diabalachara, Ala-Mashavah, Xulogos, and Goessabbim can be used as “god names” of any Qliphothic army (as well as of any other demon or group of demons)
(iii) My word of power Artorzozam serves to call forth whichever demon or group of demons is specified by the celebrant’s intent.
Look what one of my readers made!

This article serves to analyze Chief Duke Mephistophiles, best known in Demonolatry as Mesphito, the Keeper of the Book of Death, through the esotericisms of demonology, Qabbalah, and Greek magick. This is a very deep look into demonology which may not be suitable or helpful for beginners.
We know from grimoires modern and medieval alike that Mephistophiles (often called Mesphito) is a real demon, and a powerful one at that. Well, believe it or not, Doctor Faust was a real person. He was an infamous alchemist, blasphemer, astrologist, magickian, necromancer, and sodomite who once allegedly tricked a local chaplain into rubbing arsenic on his own face. Countless medieval grimoires are attributed to the teachings of Doctor Faust, just like many grimoires are attributed to the teachings of Solomon and Moses.
Faust lived around the time that the printing press was invented, so while we do have stories about his exploits, our sources aren’t entirely reliable, and the fictitious adaptations of his life, both in theater and literature, are abundant.
Faust was the quintessential Renaissance blasphemer. His name was adduced constantly during the religious debates of the time, and he ran into legal trouble rather frequently. He was a magickian who made of himself a sensation, sort of like Aleister Crowley and Anton LaVey. There are even several blatantly spurious legends recorded which purport to originate as anecdotes of the demonstrations of Faust’s power. The following two hyperlinks will take you to Faust’s wikipedia article and my first essay on Mesphito. https://vkjehannum.wordpress.com/2017/01/27/mesphito-mephistophiles-is-real/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Georg_Faust#Historical_Faust
Mephistophiles in Qliphothic Qabbalah
Mesphito is attributed to two of the Qliphoth’s Spheres, namely the third and the fifth. Three multiplied by five gives us 15, the number of the fifteenth tarot card (the Devil). The fifteenth tarot is attributed to the twenty-sixth pathway* of the Qliphoth, which just so happens to be the pathway which connects the two Qliphas that Mesphito is attributed to. 26 (2 + 6) gives us 8, as do the third and fifth spheres added together (3 + 5). 8 is a number attributed to the planet Mercury and the Philosopher’s Stone, and it’s the number of faces on an octahedron (the Platonic solid attributed to Mercury). An octahedron has eight faces, twelve edges, and six vertices: 8 + 12 + 6 = 26, which is again the number of the path between the Qliphothic spheres which Mesphito is attributed to.
8 and 15 are the two numbers given to us by the two spheres that Mesphito is attributed to, and I have demonstrated that the path between these spheres relates to both of these numbers as well. Multiplied together, 8 & 15 give us 120. 120 is the mystic number of the star and the mystic quality of the number 5, giving us the pentagram, a sign of the Great Work (note: 8 also symbolizes the Great Work). 120 is also the numerical value of the Hebrew letter Samekh when it is spelled out as a Hebrew word (note: it is in Liber Samekh that Crowley delineates the Rite of the Bornless One, an adversary-oriented rite to invoke the Higher Self which was written to precede workings with the demons of the Goetia). Blood is sometimes esoterically interpreted as a sign of the Great Work, and 120 days is the life span of a red blood globule (note: one of Mesphito’s names in the grimoires is Hemostophile).
Now let’s talk about the spheres specifically. First, Mesphito is attributed to Samael and Glasyalabolas, Buer, Adrammelech, and Amon (lesser attribution). Secondly, Mesphito is attributed to Thagirion alongside Claunech, Sorath, Belphagore, Paimon (lesser attribution), Amy, and Merihim.
The light of the Black Sun of Thagirion is the guiding influence which orients the Black Moon of Gamaliel. This is why Mammon, the foremost emissary of Gamaliel, is believed to enact the agendas of Sorath, the true offspring of Thagirion. Samael, the Mercurious Qlipha, is the sphere which imparts the Black Sun’s guidance to Gamaliel.* So, Mesphito is attributed to both this guiding influence of the Black Moon and the medium of its provision.
*This is the same pathway that Marbas and A’ano’nin are attributed to.
**Within Gamaliel dwell Mammon, Lilith, Qalilitu, Verrine, Buer, and Orias.
The Initiatory Force of Mephistophiles
One of the leading authorities of Traditional Demonolatry, S. Conolly (the S. stands for “Stephany,” by the way) has recorded the esoteric meaning of the name Beelzebuth revealed to her by Beelzebuth itself. While the literal translation of the name is “Lord of the Flies,” its esoteric meaning is “Lord of All that Flies.” This is a reference to Beelzebuth’s patronage of aeronautical engineering, meterology, and aerospace engineering sky machines. Mesphito has more than nineteen name variations in the medieval grimories, and we’re going to attempt some esoteric name interpretation.
One of Mesphito’s names in the grimoires is Memostophiles, with Mem being the Hebrew word for water. Mem is the 23rd Hebrew letter, and 23 = 15 + 8 (these are the two numbers given by adding and multiplying the third and fifth Qliphothic spheres). Mem, as a word, means “water,” and the value of the Hebrew phrase “your water,” a phrase denoting god-given sustenance in the Bible, is 120, the number we got by multiplying 15 (3 x 5) and 8 (3 + 5). In the Golden Dawn,*** the stage of initiation attributed to the sphere of Mercury is called “the water grade” in reference to the “nurturing waters of [the Sephira of Mercury]” and the tarot card attributed to Mem is the Hanged Man.
The Hanged Man the card of self-sacrifice. It represents an accomplishment of the Great Work which is misconstrued by the uninitiated as martyrdom. The figure in the tarot card is depicted hanging from the Hebrew letter Tau, which Hebrew letter is considered to have been the Mark of Qayin (Qayin/Cain being the first Ascended Master of the Black Lodge) and is attributed to the thirty-second path of the Qliphoth, basically signifying the start of a new cycle of initiatory demon magick.
***Based on the consistent similarities between the recorded experiences of Niners working with the Tree of Wyrd, practitioners of demon magick working with the Qliphoth, and white magickians working with the Sephiroth, I have concluded that Hod, Samael, and Utarid are all just different approaches to working with the planetary sphere of Mercury
My attribution of Mesphito to the card of self-sacrifice via esoteric name-analysis is actually verified by a synchronicity in psychodynamic therapy. According to Wikipedia, “Psychodynamic therapy uses the idea of a Faustian bargain to explain defence mechanisms, usually rooted in childhood, that sacrifice elements of the self in favor of some form of psychical survival.” (Note: obviously psychodynamic theory uses the metaphor of Faust’s bargain in a negative light).
So, the initiatory influence of Memostophiles is that of an apotheosis misconstrued by outsiders as death. So, when the fictitious legend of Faust concludes with the (perceived) accidental death of the sorcerer, we can infer what really happened. The cause of Faust’s death, having been perceived as coming about due to an accidental result of the explosive gases used in alchemy, is simply the common man’s interpretation of Faust’s achievement of magickal immortality. After all, Memostophiles correlates to the initiatory stage of the Sphere of Mercury, and it just so happens that the alchemical substance attributed to Mercury is explosive gas.
Mephistophiles as a God of Mercury
In The Book of Mephisto, Asenath Mason forwards the notion that Mesphito is a an spirit of Mercury. While I adore Asenath Mason’s literature, I feel that she very much oversimplified Mesphito in more ways than by her mere avoidance of Mesphito’s other Qliphothic and other planetary attribution. She focused far more heavily on fictitious renditions of the story of Faust than the depictions of Mesphito within the grimoires, and when she did address the spirit’s description in grimoiric demonology she focused entirely on the medieval tradition, neglecting the wonderful yet admittedly sparse insights into Mesphito provided by modern black magickians such as J. Thorp.
Nonetheless, I am pressed to agree with Mason’s attribution to the Mercurial Qlipha and the planet of Mercury itself.
Two of the three animal forms which Mephistophiles takes in the grimoires I’ve read (modern and old alike), which forms include a toad, a bear, and a dog, are symbols of Ophiel, the Olympic Spirit of Mercury. A medieval grimoire’s description of Mesphito as a bald man in a black cape seemed, in my opinion, reminiscient of a recorded appearance of Ophiel as a man in a black cloak. The medieval-grimoiric description of Mesphito as an approachable, youthful man lines up with the appearance of the Greek God of Mercury. Moreover, the magickal powers of Mephistophiles provided in the medieval grimoires completely match the powers given to those two entities of Mercury.
One of the speculative etymologies of Megastophiles and Mephistophiel, two of Mesphito’s names in the grimoires, is “Megist Ophiel” or “the Great Ophiel.” This interpretation makes far more sense than the unfortunately more common comparison of the name Mephistophiles to “Mephitis,” the name of a goddess who rules over stench.
In conclusion, Mesphito is a divinity of Mercury both inside and outside of Qliphothic sorcery. In contrast, while Mesphito is attributed to Jupiter by a medieval grimoire unrelated to Qabbalah, he has no recorded attribution to the Qlipha of Jupiter in grimoires which incorporate Qabbalah.
A demon’s attribution to Qliphothic planetary spheres usually does not match their attribution to planets outside of Qabbalah. For example, while Amducious and Vassago are both attributed to Thaumiel (Neptune & Pluto/Moloch & Satan), neither of them are attributed to Pluto outside of the Qliphoth. The only two demons I can think of who are attributed to the Qliphothic spheres of planets that they are attributed to outside of the Qliphoth are Buer an Glasyalabolas. Interestingly enough, Buer and Glasyalabolas are both attributed to Samael (Mercury/Adrammelech). We might be building evidence of a trend.
Update: I decided to find out once and for all whether Ophiel and Mephistophiles were the same entity. I channeled the gnosis that the two spirits were indeed the same, and publicly requested that other black magickians seek their own gnosis regarding the matter and get back to me. My gnosis that Ophiel = Mesphito, being a confirmation of scholarly speculation, was confirmed by three other witches who didn’t know my opinion on the matter.
Mephistophiles and Jupiter
While it has been easy for me to draw much meaning from Mesphito’s attributions to the Qliphothic Spheres of Mercury and the Black Sun, I was at a loss as to what meaning I could draw from his non-Qliphothic planetary attribution to Jupiter, but the very first article I read about Jupiter easily reconciles Mesphito’s attribution to both it and the Sphere of the Black Sun. The article calls Jupiter “the elder king, giving way to the new solar king” and “a Sun that has never ignited” which “radiates not physical light, but the spiritual light of illumination.” Jupiter, like the Sphere of the Black Sun, is attributed to both the guru and the inner teacher. You may read that article here: http://christopherpenczak.com/planetary-magic-6-jupiter-and-expansion/#.WfwBpmhSzIU
Since Mesphito usually described as one of the highest authorities of the Infernal Divine, and since he is renowned for being really fucking powerful and really fucking nice, it makes sense for him to be attributed to Jupiter, and as far as non-Qliphothic planetary attributions go, Jupiter is as good of an equivalent of the mixture of the influences of the Mercurial and Black-Solar Qliphas as I can think of.
Mephistophiles and Baphomet
In Path of Satan, Mesphito is attributed to the seventh letter of “the infernal alphabet,” being K. Apollo is attributed to the seventh Greek letter, Epsilon. Epsilon is attributed to Mercury, and K corresponds to the Hebrew letter Kaf, being the source of the K in magick– a symbol of the Great Work attributed to Mercury. K, as Mesphito is attributed to it, is both 7 and 8, lending 15 (the fifteenth tarot card, the Devil) and 56, a number of the Great Work.
The Baphomet of Eliphas Levi, being the model for the Devil as depicted in Atu XV, is also known as Octinomos insofar as (s)he is a symbol of the Great Work. The numbers of Atu XV and Octinomos add and multiply to give us 23 and 120 again, equating Mesphito to the Goat of Mendes in terms of alchemical signification. Despite Baphomet’s attribution to Mercury, it is believed that the state of adepthood illustrated by Baphomet is attained in the Sphere of the Sun, so it can be said that Mesphito represents the black magickal equivalent of this same attainment.
Mephistophiles, Lucifuge, and Lucifer
Lucifer, who is attributed to Venus and the Sun (he has no known attribution in the Qliphoth), is considered the counterpart of Mesphito. This makes a degree of sense, keeping in mind that Saturn is the quintessential Diabolic force of astrology. The nature of Saturn is reflected in Venus Inversus, the black aspect of Venus, and the Saturnian Qlipha is the top of the Qliphoth’s left column, of which collumn the Mercurial Qlipha forms the base. Lucifer’s other counterpart, Lucifuge, may be a counterpart to Mesphito as well.
Lucifuge and Mesphito are the two great grimoiric initiators. The Qliphothic hierarchy used by the modern Black Lodge attributes Lucifuge to the Saturnian Qlipha, but a lesser-known hierarchy exists which assigns Lucifuge to leadership over the Sphere of the Black Sun.**** Lucifuge, being attributed to leadership of the Qliphothic Spheres of Saturn and the Black Sun, represents a far more advanced initiation than Mesphito, being identified as an emissary of the Qliphothic Spheres of Mercury and the Black Sun. However, both of them are, in terms of Qliphothic influence, a mixture of the Black-Solar Qlipha with the Pillar of Severity, so the fact that they play identical roles to one another in many medieval grimories makes a lot of sense.
****The hierarchy which attributes Lucifuge to Thagirion attributes Eisheth Zenunim to the Saturnian Qlipha. A modern Demonolater by the name of T.B. Scott has attributed Eisheth Zennunim to Thagirion, intimating a great similarity between the two Qliphas. Since the Qliphas of the Black Earth and Black Moon are both related to Lilith, whose true throne is in the Saturnian Qlipha, it makes sense for Thagirion to have a connection to Saturn as well).

Above: Sigil of Saksaksalim from Liber 231
Saksaksalim is an archdemon of the Moon who is counted amongst the twenty-two spirits of Sitra Ahra who rule one of the Qliphoth’s many pathways. To be specific, Saksaksalim presides over the Qliphothic Pathway or “Tunnel of Set” which is attributed to Sagittarius. This tunnel is forever fixed between a pair of total opposites: it’s the link between Gamaliel (Black Moon/Lilith) and Thagirion (Black Sun/Belphegor). The name of the demon, Saksaksalim, translates into English as “the Great Serpentine One,” and I believe that my audience will find him to be uniquely and especially useful.
Saksaksalim rules the lunar mysteries and the powers of the night, and the crossroads is sacred to him. He presides over hydromancy, mirrormancy, geomancy, nature magick, crystal magick, warding, shielding, exorcism, defense against death curses, destruction curses, divination with bones, crystal balls, and tarot cards. He is able to increase a person’s bone density or heal bones which were damaged. He can help the witch direct and focus her magickal force, keep her magick working, and bring about the fruition of her yet unmanifested spells.
Saksaksalim can help the magickian face whatever she needs to face and teach her to let go of emotional pain. He rules over destiny and fatality as well as birth and rebirth. He can deflect magickal forces and send them right where the fuck they came from.
Saksaksalim very much specializes in chakra work. He can increase the open-ness of the witch’s chakras and proficiently empower all of her spinal chakras, her transpersonal chakras, her second heart chakra, the seven shadow chakras trailing from her crotch to her feet, as well as the minor chakras in her shoulders, head, hands, and feet.
Saksaklim specializes in astral espionage and dousing, and he can teach the witch to psychically find a given location. He can guide the witch throughout the acausal planes, even to such far-removed places that she would struggle if not fail to reach them alone. He begets horse familiars which the sorceress may ride atop in the acausal for the sake of quick and easy astral travel and which will draw her attention to opportunities she might have missed during her day to day life.
Saksaksalim can help the witch in what are referred to as the Non-Qliphothic Sphereworkings in my Qliphothic Self-Initiation Praxis. That is to say, Saksaksalim can help the witch self-initiate through Bapki [the Planetary Sphere of the Earth], Qamar [the Planetary Sphere of the Moon], Shams [the Planetary Sphere of the Sun], and Falak Al-Aflak [the Primary of the Spheres]. Saksaksalim can also help initiate the sorceress through the Trans-Sephirothic Labyrinth.
Saksaksalim can repair bruised muscles as well as bruises in general, and he rules over glamour magick, mind tricks, and the evil eye. He’s said to be able to alter anything, including reality itself. He can spiritually fortify a given location and place a magickal veil over a vehicle which will prevent any unscrupulous activities occurring inside it from being noticed by people looking.
Saksaksalim can hide evidence and bodies alike and he can help the witch plan a murder. He’s a deeply powerful psychopomp whose auspices are useful in any Qliphothic Sphereworkings and Pathworkings, and he can help the dead pass on. He can teach the witch to shapeshift her astral double into the form of a werewolf.
Saksaksalim appeared to me as a black-skinned warrior demon with red eyes. He wore the red armor of a knight and sat atop a mystical white horse with blue zebra-like stripes across his body. He carried a massive halberd.
Saksaksalim presides over inversion sorcery– that is, the use of the Right Hand Path’s spiritual techniques to manifest the Left-Handed intentions of the black magickian. Saksaksalim is a very unique intelligence– the nature of his being could be best described as the opposite of the Baphomet’s nature-of-being as the Goat of Mendes. Baphomet is an archetype composed of opposing traits which have been made to coexist and become balanced with one another: he’s a hermaphroditic combination of a human with an animal which simultaneously exhibits the physical characteristics of mammals and fish alike.
You see, the Goat of Mendes is interpreted as a glyph or representation of the spiritual adepthood attained in the completion of the Great Work of spiritual alchemy– that is, a reconciliation of opposites. Saksaksalim also exists in a state of being which lies at the pinnacle of alchemical attainment– his correspondences in Gematria connect him to both the magickal word (Abrahadabra) by which the Great Work is attained and to Khepri, Egypt’s deified archetype of self-made immortality. However, while the Goat of Mendes is comprised of opposites brought to harmony, the opposing traits which comprise Saksaksalim are not unified in a state of harmony. Rather, the opposites that Saksaksalim is comprised of strive against one another in a state of stalemate.
What follows is my interpretation of this characteristic of Saksaksalim and I honestly don’t know if I’m right. I think that personifying a stalemate of opposing traits is an even greater feat than personifying a harmony of opposing traits. It sounds Saksaksalim has managed not only to manifest opposite traits in equal portion, but has managed to equally manifest these opposites so fully that they have maintained their opposing-ness. This is my interpretation: Typhonian Demonology describes the stalemate of opposites as an inversion of the harmony of opposites– that is to say, in the Typhonian Tradition, opposites-in-harmony represents a state of absolute mastery while opposites-in-stalemate is a state of absolute failure. However, it would appear to me that opposites-in-stalemate is a state of mastery which is beyond even what most Occultists define as absolute mastery. In short, Saksaksalim exemplifies a level of attainment that can only be achieved in the Left Hand Path.
Magickal Chants
Liftoach Pandemonium, Et Germinet Saksaksalim
[Open the Infernal Plane, and Bring Forth Saksaksalim]
Simultaneously calls on Saksaksalim and presences Qliphothic energy to build or strengthen a sacred space.
Rege, Veni, Saksaksalim Gloria
“Glory to Saksaksalim– Come and Reign”
Used to call on Saksaksalim. It’s good for invocation, evocation, and workings with spirits that don’t really amount to either.
Veni, Saksaksalim, Et Germinet Aur Chashakh!
“Come, Saksaksalim, and Bring Forth Infernal Light”
This chant calls on Saksaksalim to empower any initiatory working with the Qliphoth—sphereworkings and pathworkings alike.
Rege Aeternae Pater Saksaksalim
“Reign, Eternal Father Saksaksalim”
A Latin chant consisting of eleven syllables, with eleven being the number of all things demonic and magickal– eleven signifies the Great Work and the Qliphoth alike, This chant calls on Saksaksalim to enact one of two activities which he really specializes in. You determine which effect the chant will have by the intent you focus on when you recite it:
(i) It can reprogram or redirect the magickal energies the witch is focused on. Use this to course correct when you fucked up a spell. Use it to fuck up someone else’s spell.
(ii) It calls upon Saksaksalim to strengthen whichever ONE chakra you are focusing on
Saksaksalim Sattimgullor Ontallakkall Ontimgullor
“Come, Horseman Saksaksalim, and Guide my Endeavors”
This is a channeled chant used to summon Saksaksalim. It’s appropriate for both evocation and invocation. While I never ask the spirits to reveal the meaning of this type of channeled chant (because I do not care), but Saksaksalim just out and told me on the spot. To me, the fact that he translated the chant for me right after I finished writing it down is a good sign. It makes it look like he’s the type of fellow who’s inclined to explain shit in detail. Not all demons are like that.

Curiel is an aerial demon and a predatory spirit with an infamously stubborn disposition. He presides over dark magick, sanguine vampyrism, ice magick, pyromancy, divination via pendulum, the mysteries of the moon, and nocturnal magick. His auspices are useful in shielding and the construction of wards.
Curiel is a predatory spirit of Saturn, an aerial demon, and a ruler of the night with an infamously stubborn disposition– at least amongst white magickians who would make of him a slave. He presides over dark magick, sanguine vampyrism, ice magick, pyromancy, divination via pendulum, the mysteries of the moon, and nocturnal magick. His auspices are useful in shielding and the construction of wards.
Curiel went entirely unacknowledged by the medieval grimoire tradition with the exception of a single text. Ars Theurgia relates Curiel’s appointment to the rank of Chief Duke under King Symiel and to the rank of Chief President under a Demonic Prince named Aseliel. This makes Curiel a Chief Duke of the North and a Chief President of the East.
Ten of the dukes in service to King Symiel are attributed to the day while the other ten beneath him (including Curiel) are attributed to the night. In his station as one duke among twenty, Curiel presides over forty demonic legions. In his other station as a Chief President under Aseliel, he presides over thirty principal spirits alongside twenty lesser spirits.
But of course, I was not aware of Curiel’s recorded positions in the infernal hierarchy when I first communed with him. As odd as it may seem, I prefer to know as little as possible about a demon before I summon them for the first time. That way, I can get a personal gnosis of the spirit, and it’s easier to attain insights into the spirit when you don’t have preconceptions which could make you doubt your gnosis or your channeling abilities.
Curiel introduced himself to me as a Prince of Demons. Since presidents are not often promoted to the rank of prince, this third rank of his suggests an involvement in an infernal hierarchy that went uncatalogued by the magickal demonology of the the Dark Age grimoires. (Note: it is my tentative opinion that an innumerable collective of spirits unbound by mortality and causality alike would be more likely to operate in conformity with multiple separate yet coexistent hierarchies than adhere to singular chain of command).
Curiel is attributed to the Qlipha of Thaumiel (Neptune & Pluto/Moloch & Satan) as well as to the Qliphothic Pathway of Aquarius. Like almost all of the demons I’ve written about, Curiel’s planetary attribution outside of the Qliphoth doesn’t match the planetary influence of the Qlipha he is attributed to (for example, Asmodeus rules the Qlipha of Mars, and yet the Goetia attributes him to the Sun). Nonetheless, a pattern emerges when his Qliphothic attribution to the Nethermost Sphere is connected to his Planetary affiliation with the most adversarial planet in our astrology.
The Qliphothic Pathway or “Tunnel of Set” that Curiel is attributed to stretches between the Qliphothic Spheres of Gamaliel (Black Moon/Lilith) and Oreb Mavet (Venus/Ba’al). The tarot attribution for the Tunnel of Set that he’s assigned to is the Star (Atu XVII) and the archfiend presiding over the tunnel is known as Tzuflifu. The demonic species native to the Pathway of Aquarius is called the Behemiron or “the Bestial Ones.”
When I communed with Curiel, he manifested in the form of a black-robed sorcerer with dark brown skin and a pair of short horns adorning his bald head. His eyes were red entirely– no pupils, no irises (you get the idea).
Keep in mind, demons appear differently to everyone who summons them unless the witch has presuppositions for the spirit to conform its appearance to. Now as far as I’m aware, there are no recordings of Curiel’s appearance outside of this very article, so of course, I had no presuppositions. Ergo, Curiel did what demons do– he adopted an appearance particular to me, and the appearance he chose served to symbolize his nature in a way that I could understand.
I didn’t think about it until a week after I saw him: the dude looks just like Cain looked when Cain appeared to my prior apprentices and I. Dark skin, entirely red eyes, and a horned face. Some mythological lore purports that the Mark of Cain was a pair of horns. Curiel appeared with a pair of horns– significantly shorter horns than Cain had. Curiel even put on black wizard robes just to make it more obvious.
I think that Curiel used to be a human. He completed the Great Work via black magick (the hint was in the robes) and became an Ascended Master in death, freed from the cycle of reincarnation. And just like Cain (also known as Caym or Camio), Curiel became a demon as a product of his alchemical pursuits.*
*Loosely speaking, demons are a particular species of spirit, and so are, for comparison, ghosts. What makes a ghost a ghost is the type of energy which it’s composed of– a ghost is a ghost because it’s comprised of a type of energy we call the Death Essence. A demon is a spirit comprised of a type of energy we can describe as Qliphothic or infernal. The soul of a human witch will become increasingly demonic the more she practices Goetic and Qliphothic sorcery– mages become likened unto the spirits that they surround themselves with. When I say that Curiel became a demon via the alchemy of black magick, this transition most likely occurred a while after his attainment of immortality in death.

Above: Sigil of Tzuflifu from Liber 231
Tzuflifu is a psychopomp– that is, an entity who guides the dead and/or the astral doubles of sorcerers through the astral planes, often to desired locations, afterlife planes, astral grimoires, etc. The name Tzuflifu means “Great Bestial One.”
Tzuflifu can bring the witch illumination, initiatory wisdom, and occult knowledge, and he can awaken her Black Flame. He rules over the darker paradigms of fairy/fay magick. He can lead one on the pathway to become godlike and place the witch or a loved one under the protection of the Qliphoth. He can take the witch the path towards the achievement of just about any goal, and eventually and he and the witch will manifest her success together. He can educate the witch regarding the mysteries of the lightning of chaos and the mysteries of anti-matter.
Tzuflifu can open portals and move someone or something anywhere through space and time. He can grant one access to the universal mind and tradition purports that he can guide one into other dimensions (no comment).
According to Liber Obsidian Obscura, Tzuflifu rules the sorcery of muliebral energy. Alexander Winfield Dray describes this as follows:
For females, it is a total immersion into what they are and fortifying the Energy Body with its natural characteristics; For males, it is a temporary abandonment of masculine energy and the ability to assume a Female Energy Body. The deployment of Female abilities are also covered).
Tzuflifu presides over crystal balls, tarot, graveyards, death magick, sciomancy (necromancy), hydromancy, ice magick, deadly curses, fiery shields, preventing arson, liberating the soul via purification by fire, sanguine vampyrism, psychic vampyrsim, and bilocation/astral projection.
Tzuflifu can empower the chakras in the hands, shoulders, the lesser chakras in the forehead, the minor chakras in the lower back (where a tramp stamp would be), and both the heart and second heart chakras.
Tzuflifu appeared to me as a white owl, and Frater 414 gives a very interesting description of the appearance of Tzuflifu he witnessed during a pathworking meditation:
A wall of scarlet appears and a being emerged there from. He has the head of the sigil and the body of a prince. He carried a wand and wore a red cloak with the sigil upon it. I greet him and test with Tzaddi and the sigil. He receives both and they add to his power. I ask for a lesson and he replies with, “Granted.” We fly upwards into space. A landscape. Martian. We are standing on a cliff. Below is a legion of beasts and monstrous beings. The genius explains that his army is always prepared for battle. They await his command and do not act until he gives that command. TZUFLIFU instructs me to take command of my legion of demons and establish dominion over them completely. They must all await and obey my command, and none other’s. He demonstrates by igniting fire around and upon his army. They stir not, but stand there burning. Then he gives the magical command and they promptly extinguish the fire and assemble immediately back into their ranks. I understand his lesson and return back to my body.
Tzuflifu rules the either the eighteenth or twenty-eighth Tunnel of Set depending on whether or not you start counting with the ten Qliphothic spheres. Tzuflifu’s pathway leads from A’arab Zaraq (Venus/Ba’al) to Gamaliel (Black Moon/Lilith).

Above: Original Sigil of Aggereth
Aggereth is a succubus who rules the causation of sickness and whose chariot is said to be led by an ox and an ass. A demonic witch with snakes for hair, she can be called upon for love, lust, sex, relationships, compassion, and the augmentation of one’s creative life force. She can help the witch recover from sexual trauma, becoming healthy and empowered all the way. She can grant erotic dreams and sexual gnosis, acting as a psychopomp who can bring the celebrant into the spirit planes.
The name Aggereth is supposed to come form the word “Agra”, meaning “beating,” but means “reward.” Her title Orgath bath Mahalath translates variously to “daughter of illusion,” “daughter of sickness”, and “daughter of uncleanness.”
Aggereth can teach the witch operations of ritual sex magick which incorporates BDSM and other kinks. She can instruct the witch in astral shapeshifting into a winged serpent, a weird scaly arachnid with claws tanagarabishim(plural: tanagarabishin), and into a mixture between a scorpion the size of a dog and a lizard, red body, brown legs.
Aggereth is a succubus queen and the youngest of the four matrons of sacred prostitution. She is called the mistress of sorcerers and is known for imparting magickal teachings to men. She is recorded to appear with a chariot and eighteen legions.
Agrat bat Mahlat or Aggereth/Igrat can prepare the astral body of the witch for shapeshifting and liken the physis/essence of the witch’s soul to that of the Qliphoth. She can impart strength, calculation, and pragmatism to the witch, and in doing so, she can teach soldiers, police men, etc. to be ready to kill. She can prepare the witch to protect herself and others from enemies of any kind, both causal and acausal. If the Satanist is hurt, Aggereth will embrace her and heal her of all ills of mind, spirit, and body.
Igrat is one of Samael’s four wives, each of which resides in one of Samael’s four kingdoms. Lilith, Igrat (who rules over Salamanca), Na’amah, and Maskim, the last of which is separate from Mahalath. Aggereth/Igrat is said to have come to Solomon in a dream and caused him to orgasm through the visions she presented to him, whereafter she used his seed to give birth to the king of Edom called Adad/Asmodeus.
According to the ToAF, Aggereth “is called the Roof Dancer, because she resides on the border of worlds – physical and astral, sleeping and waking, conscious and unconscious – helping the passenger to pass through the gate and entre Sitra Ahra.”
One pseudepigraphal text posits that Igrat is one of the four demonic goddesses of the four tequfot [two solstices and equinoxes]– my intuition attributes Igrat to the December solstice, which is apparently verified by T.B. Scott’s attribution of Aggereth to the season of Winter. Igrat is said to go out to wreak destruction through humanity on Wednesdays and the days of the week before the Sabbath (Friday or Saturday?). Igrat is the daughter of Mahalath and Igratiel, the ruling spirit of a desert wherein Mahalath performed many sorceries.
The Tunnel of Set which Aggereth is attributed to is either the nineteenth or twenty-ninth pathway depending on whether or not you start counting with the ten planetary spheres. This tunnel stems between A’arab Zaraq (Venus/Ba’al) and Nahemoth (Black Earth/Nahema) and is attributed to Pisces. The ruler of this tunnel is Qulielfi, and within it dwells a species of demonesses called the Nashimiron, a name meaning “Malignant Women,” which species Aggereth is believed to have partial dominion over. For a description of this tunnel, follow the hyperlink to my article on Qulielfi: https://vkjehannum.wordpress.com/2017/06/06/qulielfi/
As one of the four demonesses of harlots, Aggereth presides over both temple prostitution and streetwalking. While prostitution may sound like a dim thing to encourage, there are many women who find it empowering or emotionally fulfilling to perform it. In American history, things such as walking alone in public, wearing bright colors, wearing cosmetics, and wearing scarlet were taboo for women, and it was prostitutes who pioneered these actions until they were commonly acceptable behavior for women. Prostitutes were the first women in America to earn wages equal or near equal to men.
The numerical value of Agrath is 604, which is equal in value to Iggereth, another name of hers but also a word meaning “letter” or “missive.” It also equates in value to the Hebrew words/phrases for “troubled pool,” “stagnant pond,” and “blood/wine.”
The value of the word Agrath bath Mahalath [Agrath, daughter of Mahalath] is 1484.

Gematria of Raflifu: 208; 406; 664
Above: Sigil of Raflifu from Liber 231
Raflifu is the lord of the earth and the depths of the sea. He is a guardian of great knowledge who resides within the Tunnels of Set– i.e. the pathways between the ten primary spheres of the Qliphoth. Knives and staves are sacred to him. Raflifu is a healer, a protector, and a pyschopomp who rules shielding, banishing, exorcism, warding, the blocking of curses, and defense against psychic attacks. He can help the magickian develop natural defenses against psychic attacks and vampyrism as well as help her cross the abyss.
Raflifu is the lord of the crossroads and the archdemonic divinity of the fire of the abyss. He can greatly strengthen astral sight and personal magnetism, and he is an excellent tutor and guide in Qliphothic alchemy, glamour magick, the unfolding of new powers/ablities, astrology, homicide, blood sacrifice, sanguine vampyrism, skyring, death magick, and some stellar magick. He can impart stealth and interpersonal charisma to the witch. Michael W. Ford succintly refers to Raflifu as a vampyre in his book Sekhem Apep, which perfectly corresponds to my gnosis (note: precisely zero traditional demonographical treatises discussing Raflifu ever refer to him as a vampyre aside from Ford’s and my own, and I had yet to peruse Sekhem Apep when I communed with Raflifu).
Raflifu can teach the witch to shapeshift her astral double into a dragon, a lion, or an owl. The graveyard and crossroads are excellent places for rites to him. He specializes in cleansing and divination by fire, developing alchemical gold, monetary pursuits, and the enchantment and consecration of crystal balls. He can cause a target to incur sickness and atrophy. If you collect insects in a jar and offer them to him via burning, he will engender arson at your disposal.
According to Liber Obsidian Obscura by Alexander Winfield Dray, Raflifu rules the “Sorcery of the Unfiltered Self,” which Dray defines as “Methods of Accessing the Shadow Self without interference from filters, working with Pure Expression of Will, etc” in his grimoire.
Raflifu once convinced me that the moon landing was fake just to fuck with me.
Raflifu can initiate the witch into what is called Atlantean magick– i.e. magick using a primal current of energy. Regardless of the moniker, Atlantean magick in no way implies or requires the literal existence of the mythical island of Atlantis. Raflifu can engender destruction via fire magick and create thoughtforms which protect and/or heal specified persons.
Raflifu imparts the strength necessary for quiescence– vocal silence, stillness of body, and mindfulness/being present. He can enchant an automobile to prevent its being pulled over and to become concealed during a car chase or prior to being towed. He governs happenings regarding the government and affords the witch the opportunity to rule a new world. He governs one’s sense of space and time as well as the power of memory– ruling both the preservation of memories and the forgetting of the past.
Raflifu appeared to me in a form comparable to a genie from a Disney movie, albeit with completely red skin (if you can call it skin). He had completely black eyes and dark, greyish-brownish horns. I had difficulty discerning his gender, and apparently Frater 414 did as well. He kinda maybe possibly looked male-ish (I think) (I suppose) (I don’t know), but fuck it, I’m using male pronouns for convenience (even though I used the pronoun “hir” in my notes during communion with the the spirit).
Raflifu is the archdemon of the tunnel between the Qliphothic spheres known as Samael (Mercury/Adramelech) and Gamaliel (Black Moon/Lilith), in which tunnel dwell Will-o-wisps. His name means “the Great Haggler” and he is often paired with Gargophias.
Cort Williams describes the tunnel in Qliphothic Wor(L)ds as follows:
The Qliphothic tunnel connecting Samael and Gamaliel. Mercury acting upon the Moon via the influence of the Sun. The alchemical marriagennbetween the Solar consciousness of Samael and the Lunar consciousness of Lilith.
If Shalicu is the communication of Mericurial lore in a sudden instance of catastrophic illumination, then Raflifu is its communication in a more constant and gentle manner. If the former can be likened to the impact of the impact of a meteor, which engulfs the old Aeon in an apocalyptic fire in the course of inaugurating a new Aeon, than the latter an be likened to the light of the sun-A constant transmission of gnosis unto the world via the intermediary of the reflecting mirror of his mate the moon, the outpouring of the elixir of knowledge into the chalice of his bride Lilith that it might then be broadcast unto the world via the medium of the oneiric realm.
According to the Shadow Tarot by Linda Falorio:
Here in the 30th Tunnel of Raflifu are the Masks of God, here are the masks of personality worn by the Self through successive incarnations. Here is the Dark King, anointed with sepia cuttlefish ink, here is The Wicker Man, Cuchulain in the Cauldron of Caridwen undergoing rebirth and illumination. Here is The Buddha beneath his Bo-tree, and Wotan hanging on the world tree Ygdrasill, here is Inanna disrobed to enter Ereshkigal’s dark realm, there to hang upon a peg like rotting meat. Here is Ankh-af-na-Khonsu coming forth from Amenta to take his pleasure among the living. Here, is ego-surrendered, setting the eternal spirit free.
The atavism of the tunnel is the leopard– an interesting animal, in that it is far more vicious and deadly than the tiger or the lion. That is to say, it’s the most baneful of the cats. The jaguar’s fur was often seen as an allusion to the stars, so perhaps it is such with the leopard.
According to the Shadow Tarot:
The need to work with the energies of the 30th Tunnel of Raflifu is signaled when we encounter in our lives tendencies to hero-worship, when we see dependence on a “higher power”, perhaps accompanied by feelings of worthlessness, insignificance and powerlessness. Here too, we may find overweening pride and glorification of the personal ego, as well as confusion and internal conflict, a lack of centering, of direction, and of purpose. We may encounter dissatisfaction, and depression, as well as the intellectualization of motivations accompanied by alienation from true feelings, which leads to callousness and failure to see the Spirit inherent in all Life and in the Earth herself.
Among the powers we may achieve through working in the 30th Tunnel of Raflifu is transcendence of the ego, and evolution beyond the Existential Centaur phase of psychological development to the Transpersonal, Subtle, and Causal realms, giving access to the wealth of the subconscious. In this Tunnel we find access to past-life, reincarnation awarenesses, we find access to the Self whose hidden face lies beyond the masks, and access to the Magick which underlies the phenomenal world. Here we may contact our Inner Guides, and thus effectively channel transpersonal material. Here we find the source of our own creative genius, arriving at a cultured innocence, and the inner peace necessary to create the meaning of our lives.
By following the path of Wu-Wei, Kia, Neither-Neither, NOX, by removing ego-interference through the use of mantras and meditation, through exhaustion and dissipation, the natural lucid wisdom of subconsciousness comes through, uniting body, mind, cellular consciousness, and animal wisdom into a healthy, effortlessly functioning, unarmoured personality — a warrior on the path with heart.
Danger comes through working in this Tunnel of Raflifu without prior healthy ego-development and integration, which can lead to obsessions, possession, to psychic and/or psychological disintegration of the personality and fragile ego.

A’athiel is a Qliphothic Archdemon who presides over abyssal sorcery. He specializes in necromancy, death magick, the divinatory casting of bones or runes, fire magick, sex magick, warding (especially using snowflakes), initiatory enlightenment, the enchantment of and divination via pendulums, execration magick, ice magick, jewelry enchantment, sexual vampyrism, divination by fire, Ouija boards, empathy, protection, the esotericism of Neptune and Saturn, initiation through the Sphere of the Sun, the creation of destructive thoughtforms, candle magick, skyring, tarot cards, and shielding.
Othiel is a psychopomic charioteer who carries the torch of the moon. He can augment the witch’s talent for the casting of circle and bring about the opening of portals. He’s a protector of infants and the guardian of Those Who Died Nameless and Forgotten, and he can open the way to Da’ath, the Qliphoth, Valhalla, or any astral plane the magickian desires– including parallel universes.
A’athiel can strengthen the personal magnetism of the witch and make her a much better lay. He can open the magickian to her true sexuality. He can help the witch cast the perfect circle or otherwise construct the perfect sacred space, and he can bring about the full manifestation of the four elements.
Above: the Most Recent Sigil I Made for A’athiel
Gothiel can teach the witch to shapeshift her astral double into a dragon, bear, or white wolf. He can impart the power of camouflage to the astral double as well, and he can help the dead pass on. He rules over automobiles and he can refine the witch to the ultimate pursuit of transcending the causal forevermore as an immortal god on the astral planes.
Athiel can engender gnosis of the Higher Self and engender a unique blossoming of the Soul Star Chakra (empowerment of the first transpersonal chakra). He can purify the minor chakras of the body, including the astral eyes and ears.
A’athiel presides over the third veil before Samael known variously as Chasek or Chashakh, being the Qliphothic emanation equivalent to Ain Soph Aur. Chashakh, which name means “Darkness,” awaits beyond the last sphere of the left pillar of the Qliphoth– that is to say, behind and before Satariel (Saturn/Lucerifuge). The warlike demonic emissaries of Chashakh are the most violent and dangerous of the emissaries of any of the three veils, and Chasek is the closest of the veils to the Qliphothic Tree.
Othiel is traditionally recorded to manifest as a bloated, black, and horrid creature described as anthropomorphic and insectoid, and it is said that his breadth is greater than his width. He appeared to me in a vision as a nine-foot-tall werewolf with a crown of fire, carrying a primitive axe in his left hand and a platinum-or-silver-looking scepter in his right hand.
The name A’athiel means “Uncertainty of God,” which I reinterpret as “God of Ambiguity.” An alternate translation of the name renders “Weakness, But Strength Through Struggle.”
