{This ritual serves to invoke Prometheus, the Titan of Foresight and Clever Council. It uses a fill-in-the-blank demonic enn provided for the invocation of any spirit in The Complete Book of Demonolatry Magic by J. Thorp. Also, I channeled a magickal chant for the summoning of Prometheus, invocation or otherwise. I spelled these words such that the reader could guess easily at their pronunciation, once partially separating a magickal word into syllable identical to the English word “tour.” Before you start, you should know that Hellen is a name for Greece and “Physis” is a Greek term signifying the internal, spiritual, and ever-changing nature of some thing}

While all but one of my magickal chants to Aggereth have been made publicly available on prior occasions, I have consolidated them here for the convenience of one of my readers. I have three magickal chants to Aggereth and a name-vibration formula attributed to her, all of which I have consecrated or had consecrated.

This vibration formula is composed of names for Aggereth, included invented magickal names and titles for her, alongside a word of power to which she is attributed and concluding with a chant which presences Qliphothic energy.

Chants to Abaddon / Apollo

Apollo was integrated into grimoiric demonology under the names Apolhun and Apollyon with Astaroth as his superior, but the fact that Abaddon/Apollyon originated from the Greek conceptions of Apollo was insufficient to convince me that the two entities were the same being/dual and different manifestations of the same consciousness/faces of the same divine force. It is true, if one delves deep into the mythological depictions of Apollo and the demonographical depictions of Abaddon, that the two entities exhibit nearly the exact same faculties, dispositions, and idiosyncracies in advanced magick and esotericism, that the two entities consistently exhibit the same traits. Nonetheless, it was not until I examined the correspondences of the two entities in Gematria, Isopsephy, Greek letter symbolism, and other numerological attributions and symbolisms that I became completely and irrevocably convinced that these two beings are one. Raflifu is the lord of the earth and the depths of the sea. He is a guardian of great knowledge who resides within the Tunnels of Set– i.e. the pathways between the ten primary spheres of the Qliphoth. Knives and staves are sacred to him. Raflifu is a healer, a protector, and a pyschopomp who rules shielding, banishing, exorcism, warding, the blocking of curses, and defense against psychic attacks. He can help the magickian develop natural defenses against psychic attacks and vampyrism as well as help her cross the abyss.

Raflifu is the lord of the crossroads and the archdemonic divinity of the fire of the abyss. He can greatly strengthen astral sight and personal magnetism, and he is an excellent tutor and guide in Qliphothic alchemy, glamour magick, the unfolding of new powers/ablities, astrology, homicide, blood sacrifice, sanguine vampyrism, skyring, death magick, and some stellar magick. He can impart stealth and interpersonal charisma to the witch. Michael W. Ford succintly refers to Raflifu as a vampyre in his book Sekhem Apep, which perfectly corresponds to my gnosis (note: precisely zero traditional demonographical treatises discussing Raflifu ever refer to him as a vampyre aside from Ford’s and my own, and I had yet to peruse Sekhem Apep when I communed with Raflifu).

Raflifu can teach the witch to shapeshift her astral double into a dragon, a lion, or an owl. The graveyard and crossroads are excellent places for rites to him. He specializes in cleansing and divination by fire, developing alchemical gold, monetary pursuits, and the enchantment and consecration of crystal balls. He can cause a target to incur sickness and atrophy. If you collect insects in a jar and offer them to him via burning, he will engender arson at your disposal.

According to Liber Obsidian Obscura by Alexander Winfield Dray, Raflifu rules the “Sorcery of the Unfiltered Self,” which Dray defines as “Methods of Accessing the Shadow Self without interference from filters, working with Pure Expression of Will, etc” in his grimoire.

Raflifu can initiate the witch into what is called Atlantean magick– i.e. magick using a primal current of energy. Regardless of the moniker, Atlantean magick in no way implies or requires the literal existence of the mythical island of Atlantis. Raflifu can engender destruction via fire magick and create thoughtforms which protect and/or heal specified persons.

Raflifu imparts the strength necessary for quiescence– vocal silence, stillness of body, and mindfulness/being present. He can enchant an automobile to prevent its being pulled over and to become concealed during a car chase or prior to being towed. He governs happenings regarding the government and affords the witch the opportunity to rule a new world. He governs one’s sense of space and time as well as the power of memory– ruling both the preservation of memories and the forgetting of the past.

Raflifu appeared to me in a form comparable to a genie from a Disney movie, albeit with completely red skin (if you can call it skin). He had completely black eyes and dark, greyish-brownish horns. I had difficulty discerning his gender, and apparently Frater 414 did as well. He kinda maybe possibly looked male-ish (I think) (I suppose) (I don’t know), but fuck it, I’m using male pronouns for convenience (even though I used the pronoun “hir” in my notes during communion with the the spirit).

Raflifu is the archdemon of the tunnel between the Qliphothic spheres known as Samael (Mercury/Adramelech) and Gamaliel (Black Moon/Lilith), in which tunnel dwell Will-o-wisps. His name means “the Great Haggler” and he is often paired with Gargophias.

Cort Williams describes the tunnel in Qliphothic Wor(L)ds as follows:

The Qliphothic tunnel connecting Samael and Gamaliel. Mercury acting upon the Moon via the influence of the Sun. The alchemical marriagennbetween the Solar consciousness of Samael and the Lunar consciousness of Lilith.

If Shalicu is the communication of Mericurial lore in a sudden instance of catastrophic illumination, then Raflifu is its communication in a more constant and gentle manner. If the former can be likened to the impact of the impact of a meteor, which engulfs the old Aeon in an apocalyptic fire in the course of inaugurating a new Aeon, than the latter an be likened to the light of the sun-A constant transmission of gnosis unto the world via the intermediary of the reflecting mirror of his mate the moon, the outpouring of the elixir of knowledge into the chalice of his bride Lilith that it might then be broadcast unto the world via the medium of the oneiric realm.

According to the Shadow Tarot by Linda Falorio:

Here in the 30th Tunnel of Raflifu are the Masks of God, here are the masks of personality worn by the Self through successive incarnations. Here is the Dark King, anointed with sepia cuttlefish ink, here is The Wicker Man, Cuchulain in the Cauldron of Caridwen undergoing rebirth and illumination. Here is The Buddha beneath his Bo-tree, and Wotan hanging on the world tree Ygdrasill, here is Inanna disrobed to enter Ereshkigal’s dark realm, there to hang upon a peg like rotting meat. Here is Ankh-af-na-Khonsu coming forth from Amenta to take his pleasure among the living. Here, is ego-surrendered, setting the eternal spirit free.

The atavism of the tunnel is the leopard– an interesting animal, in that it is far more vicious and deadly than the tiger or the lion. That is to say, it’s the most baneful of the cats. The jaguar’s fur was often seen as an allusion to the stars, so perhaps it is such with the leopard.

According to the Shadow Tarot:

The need to work with the energies of the 30th Tunnel of Raflifu is signaled when we encounter in our lives tendencies to hero-worship, when we see dependence on a “higher power”, perhaps accompanied by feelings of worthlessness, insignificance and powerlessness. Here too, we may find overweening pride and glorification of the personal ego, as well as confusion and internal conflict, a lack of centering, of direction, and of purpose. We may encounter dissatisfaction, and depression, as well as the intellectualization of motivations accompanied by alienation from true feelings, which leads to callousness and failure to see the Spirit inherent in all Life and in the Earth herself.

Among the powers we may achieve through working in the 30th Tunnel of Raflifu is transcendence of the ego, and evolution beyond the Existential Centaur phase of psychological development to the Transpersonal, Subtle, and Causal realms, giving access to the wealth of the subconscious. In this Tunnel we find access to past-life, reincarnation awarenesses, we find access to the Self whose hidden face lies beyond the masks, and access to the Magick which underlies the phenomenal world. Here we may contact our Inner Guides, and thus effectively channel transpersonal material. Here we find the source of our own creative genius, arriving at a cultured innocence, and the inner peace necessary to create the meaning of our lives.

By following the path of Wu-Wei, Kia, Neither-Neither, NOX, by removing ego-interference through the use of mantras and meditation, through exhaustion and dissipation, the natural lucid wisdom of subconsciousness comes through, uniting body, mind, cellular consciousness, and animal wisdom into a healthy, effortlessly functioning, unarmoured personality — a warrior on the path with heart.

Danger comes through working in this Tunnel of Raflifu without prior healthy ego-development and integration, which can lead to obsessions, possession, to psychic and/or psychological disintegration of the personality and fragile ego.

Vassago is a spirit of necromancy, divination, and empowerment. According to Aleister Crowley, he is “of the same nature as Agares.” His disposition is dark, malevolent, and baleful, and yet he is kindly disposed to the sorcerer. Said to be one of the Nephilim, he is a highly sophisticated entity. He faithfully defends the sorcerer and engenders the obliteration of her enemies. While he is ascribed to the rank of Prince in the Goetia, he claimed the rank of “Archminister” during my communion with him. Michael W. Ford describes him in Luciferian Goetia as follows:

Vassago is an angelic ruler of the tarot; silently invoked this Prince may produce
impulses and initiatory associations via the tarot thus allowing instinct to grow with association of such tools’ of divination. Vassago is also ideal for the willed divination of future initiation, a Gateway to the Luciferian Realm of Spiritual development. Vassago appears in the black mirror as a wind-rushed robed spirit who is both angel and demonic shadow, who has many arms and talon-fingers.

In Mark of Qayin, Asha’Shedim describes the appearance of Vassago as follows:

Vassago appears as a man with a long black blood stained robe. At his waist he has the severed heads of mundanes who tried to trick the trickster. Although he appears human in his causal form at first glance, further inspection reveals that he has many arms and long talonfingers which he uses to gouge out the eyes of the profane.

Vassago is a predatory destroyer who pursues opportunities to engender destruction. He appeared to me in a vision as a musclebound man with mouth full of teeth that appear that look fit to devour a man whole. He had long, black talons coming from his fingers and he appeared on a black throne within a realm of darkness.

According to Mastering Witchcraft by Paul Huson:

So great is the power of Vassago, however (he is a “prince” in the hierarchy), that he is not bound by any sidereal or solar rules of time, and therefore may be summoned at any hour of the day or night. He is to be called only in matters of extreme perplexity, when all lesser methods of divination have availed you naught. 

Although he is “good by nature,” it is extremely important to remember that he is one of the seventy-two from of old, a being formed out of primordial fire eons before man evolved into his present shape, of an intelligence at this present time far superior to that of most men alive, and in the humiliating position of being susceptible to conjuration by apelike clay-formed Homo sapiens, by means of a faculty as yet mostly underdeveloped within said simian creatures. So approach his conjuration with extreme respect at all times; it is no idle operation.

Vassago begets the darkest alchemical transformations unto those prepared to essay them. He brings about the transformation of the witch into a dark and horrific being. He also helps improve social skills, conversational ability, quickness of thought, and social confidence.

Vasago can discover any lost, stolen, or hidden things and he gives answers regarding the past, present, and future. He can engender prophetic dreams He can reveal the secreted actions of specified persons and tell the witch whether or not somebody has cursed her. He presides over the act of black magickal initiation and all divinatory tools.

A’athiel is a Qliphothic Archdemon who presides over abyssal sorcery and the Atlantean Current. The “Atlantean Current” is simply a moniker for a primal sort of magick– it has no reference to a real or literal Atlantis. He specializes in necromancy, death magick, the divinatory casting of bones or runes, fire magick, sex magick, warding (especially using snowflakes), initiatory enlightenment, the enchantment of and divination via pendulums, execration magick, ice magick, jewelry enchantment, sexual vampyrism, divination by fire, Ouija boards, empathy, protection, the esotericism of Neptune and Saturn, initiation through the Sphere of the Sun, the creation of destructive thoughtforms, candle magick, skyring, tarot cards, and shielding.

Othiel is a psychopomic charioteer who carries the torch of the moon. He can augment the witch’s talent for the casting of circle and bring about the opening of portals. He’s a protector of infants and the guardian of Those Who Died Nameless and Forgotten, and he can open the way to Da’ath, the Qliphoth, Valhalla, or any astral plane the magickian desires– including parallel universes.

A’athiel can strengthen the personal magnetism of the witch and make her a much better lay. He can open the magickian to her true sexuality. He can help the witch cast the perfect circle or otherwise construct the perfect sacred space, and he can bring about the full manifestation of the four elements.

Gothiel can teach the witch to shapeshift her astral double into a dragon, bear, or white wolf. He can impart the power of camouflage to the astral double as well, and he can help the dead pass on. He rules over automobiles and he can refine the witch to the ultimate pursuit of transcending the causal forevermore as an immortal god on the astral planes.

Athiel can engender gnosis of the Higher Self and engender a unique blossoming of the Soul Star Chakra (empowerment of the first transpersonal chakra). He can purify the minor chakras of the body, including the astral eyes and ears.

A’athiel presides over the third veil before Samael known variously as Chasek or Chashakh, being the Qliphothic emanation equivalent to Ain Soph Aur. Chashakh, which name means “Darkness,” awaits beyond the last sphere of the left pillar of the Qliphoth– that is to say, behind and before Satariel (Saturn/Lucerifuge). The warlike demonic emissaries of Chashakh are the most violent and dangerous of the emissaries of any of the three veils, and Chasek is the closest of the veils to the Qliphothic Tree.

Othiel is traditionally recorded to manifest as a bloated, black, and horrid creature described as anthropomorphic and insectoid, and it is said that his breadth is greater than his width. He appeared to me in a vision as a nine-foot-tall werewolf with a crown of fire, carrying a primitive axe in his left hand and a platinum-or-silver-looking scepter in his right hand.

The name A’athiel means “Uncertainty of God,” which I reinterpret as “God of Ambiguity.” An alternate translation of the name renders “Weakness, But Strength Through Struggle.”

Note: the identification of one spirit with another is probably the single hardest type of gnosis to attain accurately. People want to think that entity A and entity B are the same– it makes things easier. The simplicity of soft polytheism can be a bit of a relief. Spirits will allow you to mistake them for one another until the day you die– they honestly do not give a fuck, and why would they? You can have a great relationship with them and attain great magickal success without grasping such particulars.

There are two primary narratives concerning the fall of the Grigori or “Watchers”– the angels who are said to have fallen out of love for humanity and taught us magick and various crafts. One myth depicts there being two rulers of the Grigori: Azael and Aza, the second of whom is often called Semyaza. The other myth presents Azazel as chief of the Watchers. Qabalistic thought presents Azazel as a synthesis of two spiritual forces: namely Azael and Semyaza. Since many modern commentators on Demonology, initiated and uninitiated alike, are very keen to thoughtlessly identify given spirits with one another based on shallow similarities, Azael, Semyaza, Azazel, as well as the Arabic angel Azrael have been readily and sloppily declared to be one and the same by some prominent authors. In grimoires of modern black magick, Semyaza is far more prone to be treated as an independent entity. This is presumably only because of one syllable.

While I originally suspected Azael and Azazel to be one and the same as most authorities merge the two (albeit with little to no logical or gnostic support), it became immediately clear that the two were different entities once Azael manifested. Michael W. Ford has always presented Azael and Azazel as one and the same, which gives me more faith in my personal gnosis (spiritually revealed information) that the two are not the same. In the Choronzon Edition of The Book of the Witch Moon, Ford made the claim that Pan and Cain were the same entity. My apprentices and I laugh about it to this day.

My personal gnosis is that Semyaza, Azael, and Azazel are all entirely separate entities. After I had drawn this conclusion on my own, I heard from another Demonolater who didn’t know my opinion on the matter and was told by the Goetic demon Seere that the three leaders of the Grigori are indeed entirely separate. Another experienced black magickian has related personal gnosis confirming that Azazel and Semyaza were separate, but says that her gnosis is that Azael is just another name for Azazel. Maybe she wouldn’t think that if she’d read Michael Ford.

Update: Azazel just told the aforementioned Demonolatress that he really is a separate entity from Azael. See? I told you the gods don’t give a fuck who you identify them with. That’s what makes this so difficult!

Update: I have just become aware of another apocryphal text describing the fall of the Grigori. It’s known as 3 Enoch, and it presents the Watchers as following three leaders. The text refers to these leaders as Azazel, Azza, and Uzza. Azza is simply a name for Semyaza– Semyaza translates to “the Name Aza”– and various different versions of the two-leader myth refer to Azael as Uzza or Ouzza. Now, we have a historical source supporting the postulation that Azael, Azazel, and Semyaza are separate entities. The only historical source for the Azael = Azazel postulation is the Qabalistic belief that Azazel is the unification of “two lunar forces” (Semyaza and Azael).

Azael is a psychopomp, a teacher of witchcraft, and the messenger between the denizens of Nahemoth (Black Earth/Na’amah) and the courts of the Qliphoth. He is primarily necromantic in nature, as indicated by the blackness of his eyes. The Black Light of Sitra Achara flows through his veins and empowers him. Like the rest, or at least the majority, of the Watchers, Azael was never an angel.

Grimoiric demonology presents Azael as one of the seven foremost authorities among the ranks of the demonic alongside Marbas and Mephistophiles, and he is held to be one of the twenty-eight ruling demons of the lunar mansions. After Azael told me about his relationship with the Qliphothic realm of Nahemoth (Black Earth/Na’amah), I read that Nahema/Na’amah is the demoness who supposedly convinced Azael and Semyaza to rebel against the Abrahamic deity.

According to Hebrew lore, Azael and Semyaza had thorough influence over Solomon, the famous Israelite monarch whose actual historical existence appears to be very much in question. The two Watchers are said to have given Solomon all of his wisdom as well as knowledge of the arts.

Azael can empower the spirit animal– the bestial manifestation of the Higher Self– through death magick and darkness. He can strengthen the astral weaponry of the witch and implant an evolutionary catalyst in her soul. He can engender empowerment via death magick and he presides over lunar, solar, and stellar magick. He is renowned for the speed at which he manifests the intended results of his magick.

Azael rules over destiny. In medieval magick, his auspices were pursued in the construction of a protective talisman intended to prevent “sudden death.” He is both the ruler and guardian of all the hidden treasures of the earth and he can reveal them to the witch. He presides over the escorting of the souls of the deceased to the afterlife and he specializes in revealing thieves. Solomon is said to have gone to Azael specifically every day for more wisdom.

Judging by Hebrew lore, Azael can give the magickian much knowledge regarding cosmetics, the construction of jewelry, metallurgy, minerals, and sexuality. He can be called upon to magickally cockblock people.* He can influence people to seek revenge as well as neglect their responsibilities, and he can sow hostility between parties.

Azael has a manifestation like an angel’s corpse possessed. He looked like a zombified angel with grey skin and completely black eyes– I’ve noticed black eyes apparently correlating with being necromantic in nature. Traditional demonography describes him manifesting as a bull while specifying that Azael can take any shape he likes. One source describes him as a three-headed androgyne with “serpentine fingers” and “serpentine legs that end in fishy tails.” Hebrew mythology depicts both Azael and Semyaza with pierced noses (I don’t know the cultural significance of that).

*Please don’t magickally cockblock me.

P.S. As for Azrael, I am completely confident that he is not the same entity as Azazel or Semyaza, but I can’t say whether or not he’s the same as Azael. I asked both my Higher Self and Matron Demoness about it via pendulum and got different answers. I talked to Chris Paige about it as well as the woman we’re going to keep referring to as “the aforementioned Demonolatress” and even got input from a couple other folks. I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I just won’t be able to figure this one out.
