Lucifer is Never Sometimes Always Satan

I don’t think I need to tell you that the appearance of the word “Lucifer” in the Bible referred to a king named Nebuchadnezzar, not the Devil. Lucifer, as well as Nocturnus, Helel, Noctifer, etc. are just some of the many titles given to the “Morning Star” (which turned out to be planet Venus). The comparison of Nebuchadnezzar to that “star” was simply an illustration of his former glory: “Nebuchadnezzar, you were once the bomb dot com, but then you fucked up.” Ergo, the oral tradition of an Angel named Lucifer attaining the title of Satan after He rebelled is simply neo-Christian folklore. The Islamic equivalent of this tradition gives Iblis/Shaitan the name “Azazel” before His rebellion. Nonetheless, it is very clear to me that the title Lucifer is applicable to Satan.

You may be aware that “ha-Satan” used to be a common noun, as opposed to a name signifying one particular entity. It just means “the Adversary” or “the Accuser.” However, the title of Satan was often applied to the Prince, and since it fits rather nicely, we use it.

Well, as it turns out, the title of Lucifer was common enough as well. We already see that it was attributed to Nebuchadnezzar, the epic poem Metamorphosis attributed it to another [minor] Roman deity, and in the Vulgate’s book of Revelations, Jesus Christ calls himself Lucifer. The Greek words for “light-bringer” (Phosphoros or Phaesporia) have been applied to Hekate and Artemis. The Egyptian word for “light-bringer” (which is “Khut”) has been applied to Isis. Furthermore, there is more than one deity associated with the morning “star”: Isis and Tara share this identification. Ergo, the title of Light-Bearer is applicable to any deity which warrants the moniker.

Since the title of Lucifer is common, it can easily be bestowed upon any deity that is worthy. Since Satan is a harbinger of free thought, Lucifer is an apt title for him to bear. Ergo, I say that Lucifer is sometimes Satan, depending upon the intent. Satan is pretty used to responding to random names anyways– there are Satanists who consider Him to be Enki, some who call Him Marduk, and some who call Him Tiamat. If Satan responds to these monikers, Satan will certainly respond to Lucifer.

In Stregheria, or generational Italian witchcraft, the Devil is referred to as Lucifer, Lucifero, and Lucibello (and more). In this religion, whose practitioners sometimes work with Cain, Lucifer is the Brother of Diana, as well as a Spirit who rebelled against Yahweh. It is far more reasonable to adopt the titles used by Italian witches than it is to adopt titles used by Sumerian clergy.

Chavajoth: the Lords of Hell

The Azerate are the eleven Deities of the Qliphoth (Hell), whom the Book of Sitra Ahra refers to as El Acher [the Other God] in the amalgamate; another name for Them is HVHI/HVHY, as They are viewed as the direct opposite of Yahweh. With that said, the oldest and most traditional amalgamate name for these Spirits is Chavajoth or Havayoth, which is a name created by reversing the letters of a Hebrew name for Elohim.

The Azerate are Deities in Their own right. They are far more than antitheses and they have agendas beyond their enmity with Yahweh.

For too long, Chavajoth was assumed, in classical occult literature, to be merely the opposite of the Judao-Christian deity. In the old writings of the Right Hand, it was even claimed that Chavajoth had a physical body on the grounds that El Acher was the inversion of Yahweh, who did not have a physical body. It is preposterous to think that Satan, Adrammelech, and Ishtar have physical forms– especially that They share one!

I do not acknowledge Yahweh as the creator of this universe. This universe is Satanic and Adversarial in nature, and so I also do not believe that Chavajoth desires the obliteration of the cosmos. Now that such preliminaries are past, we shall introduce the Lords of Sitra Ahra.

Molock is the Horned Bicephalous Monarch of the Fires which are both destructive and purifying. A Solar God of Fertility and the Deep Sea.

Adrammelech is a God of Fire and a Master of Dreams and Psychic Vampyrism. He can gift the witch with astral projection and physical strength and He obliterates cognitive rigidity and gives aid in divination. He helps the witch divest herself of vanity and shallowness.

Belphegor is the Lord of the Aperture and He bestows ingenuity upon the witch. He is a Master of weaponry and seduction. A Solar Deity, He is useful in workings of necromancy.

Baal is the Infernal God of Warcraft and Tempests. He makes the witch a better warrior and bestows fertility as well.

Astaroth is the Goddess of the Dead and the Netherworld. She is a Nature Goddess and a Light-Bearer. She rules love, war, fertility, and more. She is Inanna, She is Ishtar, and She is Isis.

Beelzebuth is the God of Pestilence, Heresy, Disruption, and Disarray. Known as Nihilifer, He can divest the witch of the personality flaws which hinder her. He holds dominion over aircraft and meteorology.

Lilith is a Goddess of Vampyres and Ceremonial Fornication. The Matron of unorthodox sexuality, atavism, darkness, and seduction.

Naamah/Nahema is a Goddess of Clerical Prostitution, Impurity, Succubi, Nature, the Afterlife, Serenity, and Strength of Will.

Lucifuge Rofocale is the Patron of Magick, Disease, Wealth, and Attainment. He is the Lord of Erudition.

Asmodeus is the Patron of Destruction, Warriorhood, and Lust. He is the Fulsome Archfiend of the Death-Bearing Javelin and He is known as Aeshma as well.

Beleth, being a demoness of storms, is one of many demons who will alternate between genders on occasion. Her female aspect is more friendly, and on one occasion, was even shy when requesting that I continue to be patient with a very bratty initiate. The male aspect of Beleth is cold as ice.

Beleth helps transform the witch into whatever or whoever she wants to become– alchemy and shapeshifting. She subjects her target to deception and destruction. She divests a witch of self-doubt, paranoia, and insecurity. She imparts the power to see the future and helps the witch learn to control her astral body. She’s a protectress of Hell and she helps the witch with magickal ascent in general. Beleth is known to appear as one of either genders, but she appeared to me as female.

Beleth can cause anyone to love any specified person, and she specializes in reconciling lovers. The kind of love she incites borders on all-consuming– an intense and ravenous passion. But love is not the only kind of desire she can bring about– she is apt for concupiscence, but long-term, relationship-oriented love is certainly her specialty.

She can bring about sexual passion that’s liable to wear you out– or at least, so writes one magickian who uses god names for evocation. Beleth may have gotten back at him by giving him more than he wanted. Beleth can be aggressive to test the summoner, and she responds to forceful evocation with rage. If the names of Jehovah are used to bind her, she has been recorded to appear like a Grim Reaper. She’s been described as terrifying, and she is known to breathe flame.And yet as odd as this may sound, it is written (in the ORIGINAL grimoires) that if the witch cannot establish a triangle do to limitations placed upon her by her location, she may offer a bowl of wine to Beleth, which Beleth will (allagedly) respond to by befriending the witch and being quite helpful.

Beleth can counsel the witch when she is hurt or grieving, and she can bestow poise and rationality unto her in emotionally heated times.

He/She is described as riding a pale horse and manifesting preceded by an orchestra. She appeared to the aforementioned bratty initiate as a beautiful woman in a very ornate dress– mostly black, but with blue and red. The male aspect of Beleth, which appeared to the initiate and I together, looked a little like me back when I had a buzzcut. He wore a black leather jacket and black skinny jeans, and his skin was snow white. His eyes were entirely red– no pupils, no irises.

John R. King IV, being a magickian of the Right Hand Path, witnessed Beleth manifest identical to the grim reaper when he tried to coerce the spirit. While Beleth is quite friendly to the black magickians who wish to work with him, he is very confrontational and aggressive with the white magickian who seeks to force him into compliance.

It is written that Agaliarept has power over both the past and the future. He has the power to discover all secrets– particularly the occult properties of metals and the curative properties of plants. He is said to reveal the most sublime of mysteries and he is apt for rites of destruction.

Agaliarept rules over anger, wrath, revenge, and material wealth. He is a harbinger of distrust and hostility, and he can help the witch teach. He can improve the social skills of the witch and he is associated with war. In addition to identifying the alignment of anything presented to him, he can instruct the witch in legal matters. He is a revealer of arcana and he governs matters associated with water.

Agaliarept is a gatekeeper and guide to the infernal realms. He begets initiation and helps with cleansing via water. He assists in astral projection, helping the magickian find the secret grimoires and passages in the astral plane. He is knowledgeable concerning Occult manuscripts and all things infernal. In Non-Qliphothic Sphereworking, Agaliarept can help the magickian self-initiate through Falak Al-Aflak [the Primary of the Spheres].

Agaliarept is a harbinger of evolution and transformation through initiation and visits to dark teachers. Teaches how to pull someone’s astral double out of their unconscious body. Teaches the witch to face her darker aspects and incorporate them into who she is so that she might attain power. Imparts esoteric knowledge across a broad variety of subjects. Powerful in draconic magick. His energy is incredibly fierce, but he is a loyal and caring ally.

Agaliarept is incredibly knowledgeable concerning health and how it can be improved. Even though I’ve only worked with him a few times, he once spontaneously possessed a (willing) fellow Demonolater and gave me a large amount of dietary advice. This Demonolater also sent me an etymological evaluation of the name Agaliarept:

The Hebrew vowels AGAL spell out the name of Ogiel, which means “Those Who Flee From God”, which title represents “phantoms and darkness” according to Michael W. Ford. Ogiel is the outer cortex of the Qlipha known as Gamaliel (Black Moon/Lilith).

Zepar is the Goetic Grand Duke who imparts fertility and mental self-transformation. He’s connected to planet Venus and the element of earth. He begets seduction, sexual perversion, love, pederasty, and affection. He can engender both one night stands and fruitful relationships, and it is said that he can return lost lovers.

One grimoire stated that Zepar could ‘change the shape’ of a target until she is enamoured with “her beloved.” Another grimoire stated that he could ‘change the shape’ of a target until her beloved can enjoy her. I am unsure of how to interpret this.

Zephar imparts fertility and the lack thereof. This includes mental fertility– creativity. He makes a man resourceful, innovative. Furthermore, he can help in works of songwriting and other artistic endeavors. In addition to this, Zepar can render one barren.

Zepar is one of the Black Gods of Alchemy– specifically the mental aspects. The dissolution of the ego. Getting rid of phobias, and breaking down disadvantageous patterns of thought.

Legend says that he drives humanity into infernal pleasures and/or madness. If you told your psychiatrist that you summoned demons, you would be called mad. Zepar is good for reducing the normalcy bias which weakens the success of so many magickians. In addition to this, he rules shapeshifting and atavism.

He appears as a warrior– a soldier with red clothes and armor.

Being attributed to the Qliphothic spheres of Mercury and the Black Sun, Zepar has the exact same Qliphothic attributions as Mephistophiles. In Non-Qliphothic Sphereworkings, Zepar can give aid in the act of self-initiation through the spheres of Bapki [the Planetary Sphere of the Earth] and Shams [the Planetary Sphere of the Sun].

Zephar is said to be under Amaymon and to be a familiar of Lilith. He is also a partisan and purveyor of Azazel’s humanist intent. He can give minor aid in vampyric workings and can help the magickian design an artificial succubus or incubus– or verily, to take on the powers and traits of such creatures. He is talented in succubitic alchemy [becoming a succubus/increasing succubus-type powers]. As a familiar of Lilith, he is also patron to LGBTQ types.

“Yamatu” literally translates from Hebrew to English as “Scratchers”. It is often the case that the plural form of a Hebrew word is used to designate a singular entity which is great in stature– Elohim and Behemoth are both plural nouns. I have read about Yamatu from countless authors; we all agree that the name refers to a singular fiend. A more accurate translation would be “the Great Scratcher.”

Yamatu can be called upon to grant power over life and destruction. He can deceive the enemies of the witch and make her a better liar. Yamatu can be called upon to protect something, someone, or somewhere as well as to dispel energies. He can give knowledge on divination and alter the witch’s personality so that she is not nervous or self-conscious of the way she comes across to others. He imparts the arts of invisibility and immortality and he can be called upon to multiply the numbers of specified forces. He is a demon of initiation and recrudescence.

Yamatu can initiate the magickian through the Trans-Qliphothic Labyrinth and Trans-Sephirothic Labyrinth alike (this is dangerous; seek guidance). He can also aid in self-initiation through Qamar [the Planetary Sphere of the Moon].

Yamatu can help the witch attain dark powers and give teachings regarding the Black Flame. He can teach secret rituals and reveal anything requested. He has knowledge of shadow magick and time magick and he is a harbinger of illumination. He can be called upon to hide incriminating evidence, and paralysis and death by petrification are attributed to him. It is said that he specializes in the art of dream invasion.

Yamatu can divulge the specifics of the relationship between the mind, spirit, and soul, and he is erudite regarding the nature of the human soul. He can help the witch balance/integrate her soul with his mind and body– this is a very powerful healing process, and he often employs crystals and dream work to accomplish it. He can teach the witch to identify, understand, channel, integrate, and incorporate her power animal.

Yamatu can furnish the witch with understand of the Earth’s ecology, ley lines, meridians, etc. and earth magick. He can cleanse black waters and the subtle atmosphere of a place. He can teach the witch to make use of crystals in spellwork– particularly in spellwork related to healing. He teaches the witch to travel between worlds and bring about the re-emergence of what is hidden within our ancestral subconscious. He’s related to the tarot card called the Hermit, the zodiac sign called Virgo, and the musical key of F. The path he rules is attributed to the Hebrew letter Yod, which letter represents an open hand or a seed, and is often seen as related to coitus. This letter is related to one of the Buddhist objects of meditation– a bloated corpse, to be specific, which corpse is envisioned to gain dominance over one’s lust.

Yamatu appeared to me as a white-fleshed being with a large, round head and black eyes. He wore a white cloak with intricate designs of gold and carried a black-bladed scythe. Frater 414 describes Yamatu as wearing a ring adorned with a diamond-ish stone which radiated light.

Yamatu’s original sigil from Aleister Crowley’s Liber 231 exhibits a subtle inverted cross, which cross Kenneth Grant interprets as signifying a descent into the underworld.

Yamatu inhabits the Tunnel of Set between Thagirion (Belfegore/Black Sun) and Gashkelah (Jupiter/Astaroth), wherein dwell a species of demons called the Tzaphiron. This would be either the tenth or twentieth pathway, depending upon whether or not you start counting with the original ten spheres. The Hebrew letter Yod is attributed to this tunnel, which letter signifies creative and directive energy. According to The Shadow Tarot by Linda Falorio:

The need for work with the energies of Yamatu is suggested when we find disregard for the Earth and Earth energies, coupled with the belief that the earth is inert matter to be disposed of at our whim, that nature can and must be tamed. When we are lacking in awareness of our bodies, we lack real connection with the environment. We may then begin to feel that Man is supreme in the Universe, that human consciousness and rational thought are paramount, that technology can solve our problems, that somehow everything can be fixed for our convenience. We may even come to believe that there are no inimical powers in the universe, and that we are alone in possessing the gift of life. Here too, we may find that inability to see the spark of life in matter which begets materialist philosophies, and the unspoken fear of Hell and dying which results in the application of technologies to preserve the body from death without regard to the human spirit.

When we have begun to channel the power of the Tunnel of Yamatu, we gain awareness of Earth magicks and Gaia ecology, we gain understanding of Earth meridians and ley lines, and the principles of feng shui. We gain the ability to activate the ancient power sites, to cleanse black water lines and psychic atmospheres, and the ability to work with healing crystals. In such intimate awareness of mind-body wholeness lies the power of self-healing, there is regeneration found through turning inward to tap the profound healing power of meditation.

In the Tunnel of Yamatu, we find the power of movement between the worlds. Here we find the ability to face the Lurker on the Threshold and undertake the healing shamanic journey. Here we undertake the dream quest to the forbidden Underworld on behalf of ourselves and others, to return what has been lost, to bring back what is needed of ancient archetypal consciousness, and to bravely apprehend foreshadowings of far-flung future selves. Here we learn to find and dance the power animal.

Related also is the planet Chiron, crystals in general, and fluorite in particular.

One numerical value for his name is 134. This is the value of the Hebrew words meaning “Mantle/Wrap”, “Destruction”, “Torch”, and “Time”.

Another value for Yamatu is 206. This is the value of the words “Innermost Room of the Temple/Hindmost Chamber”, “Bird of Prey”, “To Hail”, “To Scatter”, “Plague/Pestilence”, “Mighty/Numerous/Vast”,  “Speak/Answer/Commune/Teach”, “Thing/Word”, “Spotted/Marked”, and “Prophet/Vision/Seer.”

The numerical value of his name is 131– the names Samael, Pan, and Baphomet all have the same value. Samael is the Reaper and the most Transcendent Aspect of Satana*. Pan, in this context, refers to the All, and Baphomet here refers to the entirety of the cosmos– that which is called “the Superstring Field” in metaphysics.** 131 is also the value of the Hebrew words for “Wrath”, “Her Foundation/Her Fundament”, “Strong/Mighty”, “Strength”, “Ocean Depth”, “Cohabitation/Conjugal Rights”, “Humility”,  “Mare”, “Strong/Bay/Piepald”, and “To Be Alert/To Be Strong/To Be Courageous”.131 is also the value of the Hebrw word “‘anaf” [to be angry], which word specifically pertains to the anger of Jehovah.

Traditional Western Occultism interprets this number as symbolizing the union of the Alpha (symbolized by 13) and the Omega (31), but it has a special relevance within the Left Hand Path. The numerical value of Qayin’s name is 13, and the value of Azazel’s name is 31. Ergo, 131 can be seen as representative as Qayin’s incarnation as Tubal-Qayin following the evolution which Azazel imparted to him. If you look at Eliphas Levi’s drawing of Baphomet, you will see the Hermaphrodite to be juxtaposed betwixt two different moons, both of which represent celestical forces which are opposite in nature to one another. Traditional Kabbalistic lore describes Azazel as the union of two lunar forces– a pair of fallen (Watcher) angels named Aza and Azael.

The number 131 is also relevant to Belphegor, the Lord of the infernal realm which is attributed to the Black Sun. There is a number which is known as Belphegor’s Palindrome (Google it & peep the Wikipedia article) which is composed of 31 digits, with 13 zero’s on each side of the three sixes in the middle of the figure.
